Investigators remained on scene in the hours after the shooting. The area around the residence was secured while officers and detectives worked to gather information. Officials have said the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with relevant information to come forward. Some media reports identify the property as a short-term rental, though the department itself has not detailed the status of the residence in its initial public statements.

Responding units included uniformed patrol officers who were first on scene and investigators tasked with processing the location. Neighbors and passersby reported a significant police presence in the early-morning hours as officers conducted their work. Authorities reviewed exterior surveillance footage from the property as part of the inquiry into the shooting, and images from a camera outside the home were among materials investigators examined.

Police have not supplied additional details about suspects, motives or a timeline beyond the early-morning call and the victim’s transport to a hospital. The Phoenix Police Department asked anyone who observed the incident or who may have information that could assist investigators to contact Silent Witness. The investigation into the shooting is active, and investigators say they will release more information when it becomes available. For now, authorities continue to seek witnesses and any footage or other evidence that could shed light on what occurred during the house party and the moments leading up to the shooting.

Later reports from FOX 10 Phoenix and 12 News identified the victim as 18-year-old Jervarious Tyler, who was shot in the chest at the short-term rental party. His family has spoken publicly while police continue seeking tips with no arrests announced.
