Investigation Underway After Fatal Shooting at Phoenix House Party

Phoenix police opened an investigation after a man was shot at an early‑morning house party near 28th Street and Cannon Drive, just south of Shea Boulevard.

Officers arriving around 6 a.m. found an adult male in extremely critical condition; he was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The department initially did not release the victim’s name or age.

Investigators secured the area and processed the scene in the hours after the shooting, collecting evidence and reviewing exterior surveillance footage from the property.

Uniformed patrol officers and detectives worked the case at the residence; neighbors reported a significant police presence during the early‑morning investigation.

The Phoenix Police Department said the investigation is ongoing and has not released details about suspects, motives or a timeline beyond the initial call and victim transport.

Later reports identified the victim as 18‑year‑old Jervarious Tyler, who was shot in the chest at a reported short‑term rental party; his family has spoken publicly and no arrests have been announced.
