The Phoenix Suns have released the names that will represent the franchise at the 2026 Las Vegas NBA Summer League, confirming that rookie Koa Peat will join the club for the event. Peat, who was taken with the 30th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, is the most prominent newcomer on the Suns’ roster announcement and is set to make his Summer League debut as part of a group that blends first-year talent with returning young professionals.

Joining Peat on the Vegas roster are several players with prior Summer League experience and a handful of prospects trying to earn minutes this summer. The Suns included second-year professionals Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea, each of whom was part of Phoenix’s Summer League roster in the previous season. Two-way player C.J. Huntley, who was also on last year’s Summer League squad, is listed among the players who will travel to Las Vegas.
Phoenix has designated assistant coach Chaisson Allen to lead the team as head coach for the Summer League slate. The organization made that staffing decision public as part of the roster release, naming Allen to oversee the Suns’ summer games in Las Vegas and to direct the coaching duties throughout the event.
The Las Vegas NBA Summer League is scheduled to run from July 9 through July 19. The Suns’ Summer League schedule opens on July 10 with a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, and the team’s games will be available on national streams across ESPN and Prime, per the roster announcement. That broadcast information was included in the team’s Summer League release to inform fans where they can watch the Suns’ prospects in action.
Phoenix’s announced Summer League roster consists of a mix of young professionals and hopefuls attempting to make an impression. The full list of players the Suns said will suit up in Vegas is Devin Askew, Koby Brea, Corey Camper Jr., Barry Evans, Sam Hoiberg, Khaman Maluach, Jameer Nelson Jr., Reed Bailey, Darius Brown II, Javonte Cooke, Rasheer Fleming, C.J. Huntley, Tramon Mark, Koa Peat and Jake Stephens. That list was provided in the team’s public release and represents the group that will take part in practices and games during the Summer League period.
The inclusion of Peat, the 30th overall selection in the 2026 draft, gives the Suns a rookie presence in Summer League that the organization can evaluate in game conditions alongside players who already have professional experience. The roster also continues the trend of giving minutes to two-way contract players and recently signed young pros as the franchise uses the Summer League slate to assess developing talent and provide in-game opportunities for less-established players.
With Chaisson Allen at the helm for the Summer League stint, the Suns will field a roster that mixes freshly drafted talent with returnees from last season’s developmental roster. The team’s announced players will participate in the Las Vegas event from July 9-19, beginning with the July 10 matchup against Portland and continuing across the Summer League schedule that has been set by the league. Fans interested in watching the Suns’ Summer League games are directed to ESPN and Prime streams, which will carry the contests as listed by the team in its announcement.
The Suns’ public release of the roster provides the names and basic framework for who will represent Phoenix in Las Vegas, but it does not outline rotations, minutes or detailed roles for individual players. What it does present is a clear group that includes a first-round rookie in Koa Peat, several second-year professionals who have prior Summer League experience, and a two-way player in C.J. Huntley — all under the direction of assistant coach Chaisson Allen for the duration of the Summer League schedule.
The Suns' full Las Vegas slate includes additional games against the Pelicans on July 12, Bucks on July 13 and Pistons on July 15, according to the official NBA schedule on NBA.com.
Peat starred at Arizona as a 6-foot-7, 245-pound power forward, averaging 14.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per game in his lone 2025–26 season while earning All-Big 12 Third Team honors and being named the West Regional Most Outstanding Player; he was selected No. 30 by the Dallas Mavericks on draft night and his rights were traded to Phoenix.
Chaisson Allen joined the Suns' staff in 2024 after several years in the G League — including serving as head coach of the Wisconsin Herd — and earlier work as a player development assistant at Miami, giving him head-coaching experience he brings to the Summer League assignment.
Two-way big man C.J. Huntley was re-signed by Phoenix to a two-way contract in March 2026 and averaged about 14.5 points and 7.6 rebounds across 38 G League appearances this season.
The 2026 Las Vegas Summer League will be staged at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center and the connected Cox Pavilion, the two venues the NBA is using for this year’s event.
