Additional Phoenix-area listings: The Downtown Family Health Clinic is listed at 220 S. 12th Ave.; the published hours begin Monday 7 a.m.–8 p.m., with the rest of the schedule truncated in the available listing. The full heat-relief map and the complete roster of centers are maintained for residents seeking current hours and any updates throughout the season.

These cooling and respite locations are intended to provide short-term relief during extreme heat. They are part of a broader countywide effort to offer hydration stations, respite sites and community cooling options across the Valley for the months of May through September.

Maricopa County Public Health reminded residents that some cooling centers close for the July 4 holiday, urging use of the interactive map at hrn.azmag.gov or calling 211 for open sites. The City of Phoenix operates a 24/7 Heat Respite and Navigation Center at 20 W. Jackson St. with navigation services for those experiencing homelessness, per its 2026 Heat Response Plan.

The Maricopa County Department of Public Health and MAG say the interactive Heat Relief Network map now lists more than 200 locations across the county this season, including indoor cooling centers, respite sites, hydration stations and donation drop‑off points.

MAG added a new 'heat relief outreach partner' category for 2026 that allows mobile outreach teams and community organizations to register to distribute water and provide heat‑related outreach services during the May 1–Sept. 30 season.

Residents can call 2‑1‑1 daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (operators available in English and Spanish) to find open sites or request eligible transportation; in some areas 2‑1‑1 has partnered with APS to provide Lyft rides to cooling centers and heat‑relief stations.

The City of Phoenix reports it operates more than 60 sites in the regional network; last summer more than 5,600 people sought relief at the city's 24/7 respite center and libraries with extended hours, and extended‑hour and overnight sites have made more than 700 referrals this season to shelter, treatment or other services, most of which were initiated at the 20 W. Jackson respite center.
