Tandoori Pizza opened its first Arizona restaurant in Chandler on Friday, bringing a menu built around Indian-inspired pizzas and complementary sides to the East Valley. The California-based fast-casual chain set up shop at 4985 S. Arizona Ave., Suite 3, and will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the company’s announcement surrounding the opening. The new location marks the brand’s initial entry into the Arizona market and forms part of an expansion plan aimed at the broader Southwestern region.

The concept behind Tandoori Pizza centers on pairing the bold spices and sauces of Indian cuisine with a familiar pizzeria format. Founder TJ Singh said the outward push of new locations is a response to customer demand for flavors that push beyond the conventional fast-casual palette. "Our expansion is a direct reflection of our customers’ appetite for flavors that break the mold of traditional fast-casual dining," Singh said in the company announcement that accompanied the restaurant openings.
Signature offerings at the Chandler location reflect that fusion approach, with pizzas built around tandoori-style proteins and Indian-inspired vegetable preparations. Among the items highlighted by the brand are tandoori chicken pizza and a curry veggie pizza, alongside a variety of sides and pasta dishes that bridge culinary traditions. The roster of menu items includes desi sticks with cheese, tandoori wings, shahi paneer pasta and pesto chicken pasta, all presented as part of the chain’s effort to offer both familiar and novel options for diners.
Chief Executive Officer TJ Goraya framed the Chandler opening as part of a growth strategy focused on communities that value both quality food and family-friendly dining environments. "We are incredibly excited to open in Chandler and become part of this community," Goraya said in a separate announcement. He added that each new restaurant is viewed not only as a commercial expansion but as an opportunity to serve food, forge local relationships and provide a welcoming gathering place.

The Chandler opening arrives as Arizona’s Spring Restaurant Week begins, an event that showcases local dining across the Phoenix metro. The biannual Restaurant Week runs with roughly 270 participating establishments offering limited-time, three-course prix fixe menus at discounted prices, giving customers additional dining options while Tandoori Pizza establishes its presence in the region.
Practical information for patrons: Tandoori Pizza’s Chandler restaurant is listed at 4985 S. Arizona Ave., Suite 3 and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant joins other recent company openings as the chain accelerates growth across California and begins to expand into neighboring states. The menu at the Chandler location will feature the brand’s hallmark tandoori-style pies, a selection of sides and pasta dishes designed to reflect the chain’s Indian-fusion identity.
The Chandler location is the company’s first in Arizona and signals a wider Southwestern expansion that the brand has promoted in recent corporate communications. Management said new sites are chosen with attention to local communities that appreciate distinctive food offerings and environments suited for families and groups seeking a casual dining experience.
