Evenflo has recalled about 60,000 REO by Revolve360 child car seats after a safety test found the seats failed to meet federal requirements; the headrest can shift unexpectedly, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
The recall covers specific REO styles and model numbers: REO – Nantucket (CS260212537), Dancers (CS260212538), Chelsea (CS260212539), Holden (CS260212536), Brookline (CS260212521) and Lenox (CS260212522).
Company testing found the headrest assembly can shift unexpectedly under certain conditions. Evenflo says the issue occurs only at the highest adjustment positions and can compromise the child’s protective position in a crash.
A remedy is still being developed; no repair procedure or replacement part has been finalized. Evenflo plans to notify owners with letters beginning Aug. 17 and will send additional instructions when a fix is available.
Evenflo will reimburse owners who paid out of pocket to repair the recall condition for expenses dated Jan. 1, 2025 through Aug. 1, 2026, subject to the company’s claims process once it is announced.
NHTSA lists the action as ID 26C004000 and identifies the recall population as 59,661 seats manufactured between March 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 and sold in the United States and Canada beginning March 2025.
Owners should compare their seat’s model name and model number to the list of affected REO styles to determine inclusion; official written notification and further guidance will be mailed starting Aug. 17 and again when the remedy is ready.
