Three neighborhood gatherings in Phoenix to join this week

Arizona Watcher

A biweekly renter-focused newsletter in Phoenix highlighted three neighborhood events this month to help residents connect: a weekly downtown meet-up, a Coronado pool party, and a free group workout with a social hour.

The Downtown Core Neighborhood Weekly Hang meets Fridays 7–9 a.m. at Cactus Cloud Cafe (111 W. Monroe St.), offering a low-key spot for people who live and work downtown to drop in, grab coffee and greet neighbors.

A free Coronado Pool Party is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, noon–4 p.m.; organizers said admission is free, with food and treats provided on a first-come, first-served basis for a family-friendly afternoon to cool off and socialize.

On Wednesday, July 29, Orangetheory Fitness at 50 W. Jefferson St. will host a free community workout beginning at 6:45 p.m., followed by a social hour; the event is set to recur on the last Wednesday of each month.

Each listing emphasizes accessibility—short morning meet-ups, free pool admission and a no-cost workout—and the newsletter invited organizers to submit future events by emailing responses@coppercourier.com.

The newsletter links to related local coverage, offers a biweekly subscription for these updates, and asks readers to consider donations to support ongoing community-focused reporting available without a paywall.
